School. Went on to join the startup team and had the privilege of opening stores in York,

What a great company we had. I started in 24 when it first opened and spent 14 years working for
Hills. I was in 24, 17, 49, 53, 22 and 54. I also worked out of the Field Office for four years. It

recruited to work there so I could play on the softball team. We beat all the stores in Buffalo. So

Greetings all - I worked in the stores from 87-90 - Beaver, PA, and Marietta Ohio then moved to the
MA Home Office 1990 - 1994. I quit Hills and joined Bank of America (Nationsbank). I love the mild
weather here and do not miss the long snows of MA. I retired in 2002 as an SVP in Systems

I worked at Hills store #67, at Knoxville Tennessee, on Papermill road for eleven years. I loved my
job and the people who worked there. I have many memories there, however the store is now closed,
but at least I can remember the good times. It would be great to go back in time and do it over
again, put life goes on. I think when Wal-mart moved into town, it basically killed our chain.

I spent 13 years with Hills as an Assistant Manager (#17, #24 and #230-I think-Wilson, NC) and Field
Auditor and left when Ames took over. I am now with my third company (Unilever Sales Rep with Louis
